Jinnah hospital is attached to the college as a teaching hospital. The hospital meets all the requirements of the students of Allama Iqbal Medical College at under- and post-graduate levels and a large number of patients are benefiting from it as it provides treatment in all major fields of medicine. Allama Iqbal Medical College has accommodation for both the staff and the students.Student Hostels
There are four male hostels in the college including three students and one doctor’s hostel. Behind the oval college ground are two girls’ hostels and one nursing hostel. Each student hostel has two wings, three floors, a mess, a TV lounge. The doctor’s hostel also has two wings, two floors and accommodates some of the important faculty members. There are 112 rooms in each hostel. The hostel accommodates 1000 students, 400 nurses and 100 internees. The rooms are of three types; cubical, bi-seater and tetra. The hostels are provided with common rooms, canteens, prayer rooms and other common utilities.An Assistant Warden is ooks after the hostel. Staff Residence The Residential Colony of college caters for the accommodation of staff members with a capacity of 500 houses.Subjects taught in MBBS (year wise)

AIMC Admission Process MDCAT (MCAT)

- If any candidate (already studying in any medical/dental institute) wishes to get admission in Government Medical & Dental Institution of the Punjab, then he/she will have to surrender the previous admission. He/she will not be entitled to any credit of examinations passed as well as dues and have to appear in the current year’s entrance test. He/she shall have to disclose his/her previous admission in the Admission Form.
- Students who are admitted to first year MBBS/BDS class but are constantly absent from the beginning of the academic session for a period of four weeks with no valid reason shall be struck off from the college roll and their seat will be filled on the basis of merit from the waiting list.
- There are two or more rounds of selection of candidates depending on the availability of vacant seats.
- The selected candidate must join is/her allocated college on the date set by the college authorities, otherwise his/her admission stands cancelled.
- The admission of the candidate shall be cancelled and he/she will be debarred from admission for a period of 07 years, if any document provided by the candidate is found false or the candidate was not entitlement for admission according to the admission policy for medical/dental institution of the Punjab or if candidate is found medically unfit at any stage of MBBS/BDS course or if he/she fails to report for admission and/or deposit the fee on due date.

AIMC’s library was established in 1976. The library building is a well-spaced, air-conditioned and a well-furnished hall. It offers various learning resources for the faculty as well as the teachers. The library has two main portions; a main hall and a portion for internet facility. The main hall houses an enormous collection of 25,500 books and various journals, mostly related to medicine and allied fields. Latest editions of books are added regularly. Apart from the medical books, the library possesses a collection of different encyclopedias, dictionaries, Islamic encyclopedias, English and Urdu novels and poetry. The library is also subscribed to 14 international medical journals and 20 national medical journals.Auditorium
An elegant air-conditioned auditorium, which holds a capacity of 1000 viewers, aims to provide an amazing learning experience for the viewers and the presenter during a lecture. Clinico-Pathological Conference, which are held weekly, scientific meetings, seminars and important lectures take place in this building regularly.Sports Complex
