Life at Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC)
Making Friends
Entering into a new environment and place, the best way to cope up with beginner’s anxiety and the feeling of loneliness is to make friends. Don’t worry, all your batch mates feel the same way and so to overcome these feelings one should become friends with people of your own batch and understanding. Friends are an important part of University life as you will have to spend 5.5 years with each other and so they are the people that can easily be there for you whenever you’re in a bad situation. However, choose your social circle wisely and be with people who not only enjoy with you but also help you focus on your studies as that is the first reason why you are here.Utilizing Time
The number one thing that you need to learn when you get into a university is that, time is of the essence. There is nothing more precious than saving time. Always make a schedule for the work that needs be done, may it be assignments, revising, preparing for a test, returning the library’s book. One needs to be responsible and never leave anything to be done later.Extra Studying
In university it is never enough to only listen to the lecture and expect to know everything. Never pile up your work and always revise daily. If a certain concept is not clear, go to the professor or to the TA and if still does not work out, group study is the best way to learn as each student has a good grasp on certain topics. Sit with your friends and teach each other what you don’t get and like this all your concepts will be clear and the ones that were already clear will be crystal clear.Dr. Najeeb Lectures
There are times when a student is stuck in limbo and doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere with their studies as many concepts are unclear no matter what they do. For such crisis, students now a days can avail the opportunity to study from Dr. Najeeb Lectures, an internet sensation who has over 800 videos on almost every medical concept like Anatomy, Neuroantomy, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Genetics, Immunology, Microbiology, Physiology, Embryology, Pharmacology and Pathology. These videos are a great way to clear up any hazy concepts as Dr. Najeeb conveys concepts like a story which is easy to grasp. He also gives students certain hints on how to remember difficult biological processes and terms. Along with all this he also tells his students which concepts studied are the most crucial for different examinations that they will be appearing in.Seat Reservation Policy
