Quaid e Azam Medical College Bahawalpur (QAMC) is located in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. It is a public sector medical college. Quaid e Azam Medical College was established on December 2, 1971. Its foundation stone was laid by the then Governor of Punjab, Lt Gen Attique-ur-Rehman (retd). It has been serving the nation since then. As it has produced almost 3282 medical graduates till the year 1997.
Also, Bahawal Victoria Hospital is the primary teaching Institution of Quaid e Azam Medical College.
Infrastructure
Overall, the college building is spacious and airy. The building is built such that there are features that control natural climate. For instance, there is ample of cross-ventilation and the windows are placed strategically. Moreover, there are overhangs and courtyards to create shade. Additionally, roof vaults are present so that air flows through the vault roof, bringing down ceiling temperatures. Also, roof vaults provide insulation. Moreover, there are hollow walls to provide insulation.
All of these features give a natural protection against the hot and dry climate of Bahawalpur City.

Bahawal Victoria Hospital
Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) is located in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. It is a teaching hospital of Quaid e Azam Medical College. Initially, in 1876, the hospital started functioned as a civil hospital. Back then, it had an outdoor department, a dispensary, and an operating theatre. This health unit was named Bahawal Victoria Hospital in 1906. In 1952, a nursing school was also started to improve basic health amenities. Moreover, L.S.M.F classes also started in 1956. However, when the hospital affiliated with Quaid e Azam Medical College (QAMC) in 1970, it became one of the largest hospitals in Bahawalpur. The hospital provides tertiary care facilities to a multitude of patients.
Today, the hospital is a pioneer of clinical expertise not only in specialties but also in sub-specialties. It is a 1,600-bedded hospital. Moreover, it is fully equipped with all medical and surgical specialties, serving large number of patients in the South Punjab. Right now, it is facilitating undergraduate medical students of QAMC, nursing students of allied nursing school, and a large number of post-graduate trainees. It provides an excellent learning experience for clinical studies.
